Barkley

Barkley is a grumpy boy that loves fetching. If you refuse to throw it, he will bark until you do. Often this involves moving from your comfortable sitting place because the ball is out of reach. After a few goes, he will get angry and growl at you if you dare to take the ball from his mouth. Barkley is also an amazing beggar. Barking and whining next to the dog biscuit jar in the early hours of the morning. Despite all of this, Barkley is the most loving dog ever. He\'ll come up and sit on my lap where ever I sit down (as he is doing in this very picture). He loves people, even though he can be a nuisance at times.



Barkley is 10 years old right now, which is really quite amazing. When he was 2 or 1, he was diagnosed with a kidney desease and was not supposed to live past 5. However, he is still going strong at 10, even though his sister died of the disease. A few years a go, he had a surgery that took a tumor out of his stomach. He had a read hard time, but overcame it and has been better ever since. Before the surgery he was a very finicky eater, but no more. He eats like a pig.

*Getting you up in the early hours of the morning

*Sitting on your lap

*Sleeping in really late

*Loving people

Barkley is becoming a fat boy. He still needs to eat a special diet because of his condition. Plus, he eats ungodly amounts of dog biscuits. He really should be put on a diet.
